Abstract

Pendidikan adalah suatu kebutuhan bagi setiap orang, dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di abad 21 ini juga menjadi tantangan yang nyata bagi para tenaga pendidik untuk menghasilkan pendidikan yang lebih bermutu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran santri terhadap dunia pendidikan di abad 21, karena santri mempunyai kepentingan dalam dunia pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan penyebaran angket kepada santri melalui Google Form. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran santri terhadap kemajuan dunia pendidikan memiliki pengaruh besar untuk masa yang akan datang. Ini dapat dilihat dari cara santri menggunakan teknologi untuk mengembangkan bakat serta wawasannya dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa peran santri terhadap kemajuan di dunia pendidikan harus lebih ditingkatkan lagi untuk memenuhi kualitas santri dalam pemanfaatan teknologi. Oleh karena itu keterbatasan penelitian ini tidak dilakukan secara mendalam oleh peneliti untuk melihat peran santri terhadap dunia pendidikan, untuk itu peneliti berharap kepada peneliti selanjutnya melakukan penelitian yang sama agar dapat memperoleh hasil penelitian secara mendalam dan menyeluruh supaya bisa mendapatkan hasil peneitian yang maksimal.
